The time has come. Pres Aquino did his homework. It's comprehensive & all-out covering an entire portfolio cuz he was greeted with nothing but big problems. What this country needs is not SONA but PONA (progress of the nation address), listing viable economic policies that support business ventures by removing retarding rules and useless regulations. It should include also the ending of old-age practices of bribery and red tapes in business. The business environment must be free of extortions and intimidations. I have watched the entire SONA address of President Aquino highlighting the abuses of power and incompetence of government run corporations (MWSS). It also brought the light, what people knew all along, that there was no element of accountability involved in holding and protecting the public coffers (to Deo it was his coffin). There was no fiduciary control of any sort and no paramount concern for public interest. The executive branch of government was given unbridled access to money, borrowed or otherwise. When a kano tour Australia, and stayed in Sydney, he asked the hotel clerk. "How come I don't see kangaroos?". The clerk was somehow annoyed with the comment. When I was bagong salta in Nuyok City, my workmates came from varied countries. Take the case of this Latvian and an Argentine. I don't know if Pres Aquino's use of the word "dream" will amount to anything cuz dreams can hardly be accepted as real. A dream takes us to another time & place. Our people experience lucid dreaming, a twilight zone between waking & slumber. dreams could either be bad or good. At times, we experience sleep paralysis, when the brain is conscious yet the body is unable to move or a dream that you're flying or dream about you picking money. Almost all of us have experienced them one way or the other. I rather use the word "hope." To hope against hope. Only if Pres Pnoy can deliver the goods. Help the poor & helpless first. All journeys begin with the first step. I mentioned that our gov't must help the poor & the helpless first cuz they have suffered long enough. It's about time that our leaders do something about it. Those who only eat one meal a day. Think of those hungry children. It's not normal for our people to be hungry. If the holy church in all its glory & tax-free money wants to really help, then, this is the time. Juxtapose that with a gov't food assistance, food bank, food relief or whatever is the hell to help the hungry first. Is that hard to do?
