The Chinese have the firepower the P.I. does not have such force. Whoever suggested that PI destroy all structures built by China (The Wall of Sand) in South China Sea must be hallucinating or have lost their sanity. It is easier to assert ownership if you are already in possession of the disputed reefs or islands. The issue of ownership could be settled by armed conflict or diplomacy .Cooler heads must prevail over seething hatred. Does this guest editor and others who agree with armed resolution understand its price tag? Many have died because of plain bravado.

Reports say that Binay & his cohorts stowed their Billions of Pesos looted from the PHL in 2 big Canadian Banks. We can assume that the PHL govt. will go through Diplomatic Channels to Freeze the accounts. But meanwhile Filipinos in Canada can do something to publicize this Plunder. Re: Binay's continued membership in Cabinet of the Pnoy... With all those allegations against the V.P., the Pnoy should put his foot down and accept the resignation of Binay as a member of his cabinet.. His continued membership in the President's Cabinet would be misinterpreted as condoning what ever actuations the VP is doing.. If he is indeed engaging in corruption the Pnoy should tell the VP to leave his post as member of the Pnoy Cabinet likewise his position in the housing and Urban development. Binay's continued presence as Cabinet member affects the credibility of the Pnoy in the eyes of the Philippine citizenry.

"I have no hidden wealth", said Binay. He is right. His wealth IS THERE for ALL to see. A blogger had stated his objections about the use of "Manchurian Candidate" in describing Binay. Well, the use of "Manchurian Candidate" was not meant to be exact. It was meant as a metaphor. The Manchurian candidate did not "publicly support China but in reality opposed it", as the blogger said. The Manchurian Candidate is a ROBOT who falls under the spell of his handler & will do as ordered when he hears the Phrase, "Raymond, why don't you while away the time by playing a game of Solitaire". The metaphor is that he is inside the establishment (just like Binay) when in fact he works for the county's enemy.
