It used to be that Immigrants 'fear' going home or renewing their phil. passport - kasi dati sinisita ng phil embassy.. i.e. 'declare mo kita mo sa Canada' etc.. So my aunties for example, waited till they got Canadian citizenship before going home to visit. Not anymore. Cabron LPIF you posted and presented the GE example - you don't really don't get it do you. Sure GE gets rebates and tax benefits because of maneuvering and other concessions from the government-- but that does not mean that "CORPORATION DO NOT PAY TAX". It could be just so happen that in some years they may have some bad years where they used carry forward tax losses or that the government gave them tax break.
