President Aquino leads inauguration of new IT facility

PASIG CITY, Nov. 25 (PIA)--President Benigno S. Aquino III yesterday led the inauguration of a new facility of Pointwest Technologies Corporation, one of the leading IT-BPM companies in the country.

Pointwest Digital Center, located at the Rockwell Business Center in Ortigas, Pasig City will house the company’s digital services, including Mobile Application development, Cloud Computing and Data Analytics, and digital products.

Aquino in his speech during the inauguration cited the company for its vast contribution in the country’s economy and also in its effort in providing more than one million jobs since 2014.

The President also thanked the company who was responsible for developing the Arko weather and flood monitoring mobile app of Project Noah under the Department of Science & Technology (DOST).

He encourages the company to continue productive engagement even beyond his term.

The President also shared the governments’ efforts like providing training for possible employees of the IT industry.
