In this new millennium, we find the Philippines beset with much trepidation as well as much hope. In the past year we've had—among other news events—the NBN ZTE bribery scandal, as well as the strengthening Philippine Peso; the Manila Peninsula rebellion, as well as the stronger than expected economic growth! And many of you, our readers have been with us on this rollercoaster ride we call Philippine News through the good times and the bad, through the highs and the lows, through the happy as well as the sad times.

We at Philippine NewsLink make this commitment to all our loyal readers: we will continue to seek out the truth and expose wrongdoings so that the Philippines can move forward economically, politically, and morally—and regain its former glory as a Southeast Asian leader.
