Can't do much against the Chinese. For my part, I just avoid anything Chinese, if I can help it. I am of the opinion that we, the U.S. and us and maybe the rest in the region might be closer to something we all do not wish to happen. ACCIDENTS do happen.

To ignore or condemn the corrupt ruling elite and the laughable standing army as ineffective instruments in turning the country around vis a vis the speculative strength and influence of citizens working and living abroad is just another big joke. This is also just another way of avoiding the root of the problems that for so many decades has bedeviled our nation's desire to stand shoulder to shoulder with our progressive neighbors. Improvements should start within whatever it takes to achieve real results. Purge all unnecessary evil in that society and when citizens abroad see the nation nation moving forward in a positive way, maybe they will believe the seriousness of purpose.

Philosophically and Rhetorically, what is wrong & bad to China's present kung sakupin ang Pilipinas?Woww,...great opportunity sa bansa at sa mamayang Pilipino,hehehe...Look Hong Kong and Macau, partly manage by Chinese government, more or less 200,000 (two hundred thousand) Pilipinong manggagawa/worker at sa mainland China ilang libong Pilipino rin don.

When an intruder breaks into your house, you don't ask your neighbors to fight your fight. First you defend your family with everything you have, then ask your friends for help if necessary. The Philippines cannot stop China on its own, but it should not prevent them from performing military exercises using live ammunition on their claimed territories. The Philippines is not alone. It has treaty, alliances with big brothers. Somebody has to slow down China, it might as well be the Philippines. And don't forget to bring David's sling shot.

Even without Arroyo entering any agreement with China that many considered lopsided, China will explore the vastness of South China Sea for fishing and oil exploration. China will invoke the nine-dash line that many consider invalid to justify her claim of territorial sovereignty. She tested this by placing an oil rig close to the shores of Vietnam. Vietnam drove those Chinese away. Note that Vietnam and China were allies during the Vietnam war fighting the Americans. What is missing among Filipinos is the will to fight. Pnoy will never lead the fight for fear of offending the local Chinese community. To many bloggers it is all but false bravado that is on display! Pinoys will never stop dinning in a Chinese restaurant and stop buying products Made in China. You must be kidding me if they do!

First step is stop government corruption by sending powerful government grafters to jail. We can accomplish this if we have a powerful justice system. We can obtain this powerful justice system by adopting the Jury System wherein common ordinary people shall have a deciding vote with their jury ballots in court. To help install the Jury System, please read: LINK

FOLKS: China has no food problem. If she had, she would have been importing food from rice producing countries. The fact is China is an exporter of canned goods. China is in need of fossil fuel and basic minerals for its industrial complex. When China adopted a one child policy, it was meant to address the issue of food shortage that exerts pressure on its GDP. She was able to reduce the population growth rate to less than 1%. The Philippines is expanding her population of over a million Filipinos everyday. We import rice, garlic and almost everything grown on land.

What if our gov't rented Subic Naval Station back to the U.S.? Now that they want their presence felt in the disputed area by constantly patrolling by air & by sea, they need a land-base military facilities for their patrol planes & ships. Our govt in good faith can help by offering these installations. Likewise, in order to prevent any accident happening, the Chinese must assign radar operators to be fluent in English. Mistakes might happen. A hypothetical scene...of a Chinese operator uttering in desperation the word 'sh*t' & someone on the other end heard 'shoot'. WWIII maybe? Hope not.

All we have to do is to Boycott the Chinese products. The problem with Filipinos, it is hard for them to cooperate.... no pride at all. If even half of our population can do the boycotting and the government will also do by limiting the import products from this greed China, they would someday cry out for help like any other poor countries. Not all the aces are theirs. Nothing impossible under the heat of the Sun!. Let them suffer too... to know how greed and poor quality products they have. Pres. Aquino, please stop importing Chinese product esp. toxics and hazardous to the health of Fils. Continue the inspection of goods from China, a famous country for fake/imitation products.

[Someone]: There is no way Filipino overseas will unite to clean-up corruption. Their priority is their family and not their country of birth. The clean-up crew rest on the locals. The country needs a strong leader who could instill fear and discipline without violating human rights. The current judicial system is broken. Both law enforcers and justices are no longer capable of punishing the guilty and upholding the principle that no citizen is over or under the law. All elective positions should be subject to recall if voters are unhappy with their performance except the president and the chief magistrate.

[Someone]: I have yet to see a real manifestation of Filipino style of patriotism. I see a lot of racial bashing instead. Our love and devotion does not go beyond ourselves. It more fashionable to criticize what is wrong with our government and to complain and generalize every facets of Filipino lives. YAN ANG PINOY!

PNoy and his yellow party is torturing Binay (I call it political water boarding ): there is no letup in the investigation of ill-gotten wealth in the Senate; his assets are being frozen; he is being kept in the dark who he will face in 2016; his family is being dragged in the investigation. Desperate to erase all negative perception, he will seek any running mate with a good name recognition even if less qualified. He may even sell his soul to the devil.

[Someone]: My understanding is that a convicted defendant could be released from custody while the case is on appeal by posting a bail. It is up to the court to hold the governor in custody by denying him a bail. Evidently the governor is out on bail. Being out on bail has limits. Leaving the country is not one of them unless perhaps for medical reasons. Rich people and politicians are flight risks and therefore it is better to keep them in custody.

[Someone]: Aquino and his yellow party is confusing Binay who he will face in 2016. For now the popularity of Binay is erroding as more allegations surface. Binay may not survive a very expensive presidential run with a popularity rating going south and with frozen assets. He has to spend a lot to reverse all negative perceptions. The LP strategy is quite simple: weaken Binay at all cost and get him into a guessing game who his opponent is (that would be tantamount to shadow boxing or suntok sa hangin) . The tactics are evident: dig more dirt and get those dummies talk ( if they are still alive and they could be found).

I would like Erap to run for president and have a three -way fight in 2016. This would kill all hopes and dreams of Jojo Binay of staying in Malacanang. This is a classic application of the principle : "Divide and Conquer." Erap has to run to save Jinggoy; Binay, to save his billions and frozen assets!

[Someone]: I live in Manila and you don't. Binay will never be president. Duterte is popular in Mindanao but never in Luzon. Who wants a hoodlum or gangster as president? Both are clowns.
